Imperium Azteca

Imperium Azteca is a turn-based strategy game about building an empire from a single settlement on the shores of Lake Texcoco to a tributary superpower ruling over Mesoamerica.

This game is currently in an early testing phase - it's playable and stable, but still being actively developed. Comments, bug reports, and suggestions are very welcome and genuinely help shape where it goes next!

This free version will keep receiving updates. A paid edition is planned for the future, adding new content and DLC (extra campaigns and scenarios) on top of everything you can already play here for free.

Manage food, population, temples, warriors, and trade routes turn by turn. Every decision echoes through your growing Chronicle - a living history of your reign.

Four paths to victory

• Imperial victory: reach full legitimacy and subjugate or ally with at least 15 city-states.
• Survive the Spanish invasion (1521): hold Tenochtitlan against Hernán Cortés and his allies.
• Religious golden age: maintain 10+ temples and legitimacy ≥90 for 15 consecutive years.
• Trade dominance: build a network of pochteca trade routes that makes your city the region's unrivaled economic power.

Four ways it can all fall apart

• Famine strikes the city.
• You lose all your chinampas (floating farms).
• The tlatoani is dethroned at zero legitimacy.
• A neglected garrison loses its defense three times in a row, and a rival conquers Tenochtitlan before the Spanish even arrive.
